Understanding Generations in the Nonprofit Workplace:
Why It Matters
The co-mingling of four and five generations in paid and unpaid work has many implications for the way work gets done and the roles people take on. This training helps participants:
- Increase awareness about the characteristics of different generations
- Understand why these characteristics relate to organizational infrastructure, supervision, communication, and more
- Develop effective strategies for supporting staff and volunteers
- Create an environment that encourages collegiality and productivity
