Replicating Successful Models

Replicating Successful Models: The Center has developed evidence-based programs that address areas of critical social concern. Our training team can help you replicate or adapt these models to meet your community needs. To learn more, please e-mail or call Andrea Taylor: ataylor@temple.edu or (215) 204-6708.  These models include:

  • Across Ages: a nationally-recognized, intergenerational mentoring approach designed to enhance the resilience of  vulnerable youth. Listed in the National Registry of Effective Prevention Programs (NREPP, 2010).

  • Time Out Respite Program: a model intergenerational respite and home support program in which college students provide quality, low-cost services to families caring for the frail elderly.

  • Project SHINE: a nationally-replicated model in 16 cities where college students help older adults prepare for citizenship and work, acquire health literacy skills and engage in meaning full civic roles.

Training for all three areas is provided on-site, includes on-going technical assistance and coaching and is required for an effective replication of the model.
