50+ Civic Engagement
The United States is on the edge of an “age wave” of baby boomers -- a bonanza of talented, committed older adults who are looking for opportunities to connect and contribute to their communities and neighborhoods. The Center helps non-profits mobilize this rich resource through training focusing on strategies for engaging people 50+ in a continuum of compelling roles; it also helps adults 50+ explore options for the next phase of their lives, including identifying opportunities for civic connection. In addition to our free online course, our nationally-recognized team will work with your agency to develop tailored, onsite trainings and workshops in three key areas:
Building Organizational Capacity
-
Advocacy Training
- Volunteer Leadership Training
-
Engaging and Supporting Immigrant and Refugee Elders in Civic and Volunteer Roles
Promoting Positive Aging
