About The Center

The Intergenerational Center at Temple University is dedicated to strengthening communities by bringing generations together to meet the needs of individuals and families throughout the life cycle. Established in 1979, the Center is a national resource for intergenerational programming.

Our Center:

  • Creates opportunities for youth and elders to contribute to their communities
  • Promotes partnerships among organizations serving young people, families, and older adults
  • Helps organizations integrate intergenerational approaches into their program services
  • Informs educators, human service practitioners, and policy-makers about the impact of intergenerational strategies We accomplish our mission through:
